Samsung Will Likely Unveil Galaxy Note 20, Fold 2, and Z Flip 5G on August 5

Samsung Galaxy Note 20

We are about to enter the second half of a difficult 2020. It means that a new device will launch this year.

This is the case of Samsung. As always, they are preparing for the announcement of its new Galaxy Note and some possible surprise.

According to Jon Prosser, who has gained a lot of relevance in recent months, Samsung is preparing an Unpacked event for August 5. It is where the new Galaxy Note 20 will be presented, as well as two new folding devices: Galaxy Fold 2 and Galaxy Z Flip 5G.

If the possible design of the Samsung Note 20 + was recently leaked, now a new leak has revealed both the presentation date and the supposed launch day of the new Samsung Galaxy Note 20 series, which would not arrive alone. At least that’s the information Jon Prosser of Front Page Tech has shared on his personal Twitter account.

Two New Galaxy Note 20

According to rumors, Samsung will launch two Galaxy Note 20 models, one with the surname ‘Plus’ or ‘Ultra’ and the other ‘normal’. The most powerful one would boast a new 6.87-inch QHD + LTPO flat panel display with 120Hz refresh rate.

Both devices would have an on-screen fingerprint sensor, which for these models would be 17% larger than the Note 10. While the camera is expected to be 108 megapixels for the primary sensor with a 50x zoom, it would be accompanied by 13 sensors, and 12 megapixels, as well as a new laser sensor for focus.

Two New Folding Devices

And on the other hand, there is talk of the launch of two new foldings: the Galaxy Fold 2 and the Galaxy Z Flip 5G. The latter one does not have much advance feature since it would be a 5G version of the device that we met earlier this year, which now debuts a new processor with a 5G modem.

As for the Galaxy Fold 2, there is talk that it would come with a flexible 7.7-inch ultra-thin glass UTG screen made by Samsung, as well as an alleged front camera under the screen. It would be made of ceramic and stainless steel.

Within the photographic section, the Fold 2 is said to have a 12-megapixel primary sensor, a 12 MP wide-angle lens and a 64 MP telephoto lens, in addition to two 10-megapixel front cameras.

According to Prosser, Unpacked 2020 is scheduled for August 5, and it is not yet defined that it will be virtual.  In the same post, Jon Prosser ensures that both the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 series and the new Galaxy Fold 2 and Galaxy Z Flip will hit the market on August 20.

At the moment, it is only a leak, so it is time to wait for the South Korean company to rule on it. As for the Galaxy Note 20, the leaks suggest that it would have a Super AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz. It would have a memory configuration of up to 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal storage and that the range model Alta could incorporate a 5,000 mAh battery.
