It had been a while since we had any news about the next mobile star that Google would be preparing. But a new leak brings us renders and specifications of what would be the Pixel 5.

The Pitgou site was made exclusively with all the information that we will pass on to comment and show you. Both the cover photo and those attached within the article correspond to the images of now.

How the Pixel 5 Will Look?

The first thing to note is that its appearance differs – and a lot – from the one we gave you months ago. Both front and rear have significant differences.

The dimensions would cover 144.6 x 70.4 x 8 millimeters. Although, the thickness would stretch to 9.5 mm if we take into account the protrusion of the rear camera module. According to Pitgou’s calculations, the screen would contain 5.78 inches and will be of the OLED type with QHD resolution.

In this display, they will place a perforated front camera. Also, the edges are smaller than the Pixel 4. The continuity of Face Unlock is completely intrigued by these tiny margins.

On the back cover, we see the module with a double camera and LED flash. The role/function of these lenses is unknown, as in the front lens. The fingerprint reader will remain on the back cover.

The physical keypad will be located on the right side. There we will have the on/off button in another color and the volume key. Will take advantage of a USB connector type C, although not appreciate jack 3.5 mm headphone jack.

Inside, you’ll find the processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 765. If this were so, despite having 5G insured, it would be a rare move not to place the most powerful chipset at the date of the North American signature. Finally, the presentation of the phone would take place in early or mid-October.

Is it False leaks?

From the PhoneArena website, they are skeptical of these rumors. Various specialists in the technological field stipulate that these leaks are too hasty. What is most questioned is the design of the equipment, not so much its hardware.

In fact, it is intuited that Google is working alongside Samsung to manufacture its high-end processor. But as they are behind in their development, this year they would bet on a mid-high range chipset to give rise to theirs in 2021.

Of course, PhoneArena’s assumptions are also rumors. So far, the only certainty is that there is nothing certain.

We expect Google to announce its new Pixel 5 smartphone around October this year. If the rumors are true, the new smartphone could mean a change in the company’s high-end strategy.
