Apple Is Preparing A Huge 6.7-Inch iPhone This 2020

For this 2020, we would not see three iPhones, but four. If the 6.5 inches of the iPhone 11 Pro Max seemed not too big for you, do not despair. This year, Apple will offer a worthy successor that go even further and reach 6.7 inches diagonal.

This statement is originated from Ming-Chi Kuo. He is the analyst whose predictions are usually accurate when talking about Apple’s future mobiles.

Kuo affirms that these models will be exclusive concerning the rest of the range. They will integrate a new optical image stabilization system that will be prepared to work with the ultra wide-angle sensor. This feature is so essential to achieving well-defined photos.

Optical stabilization in all scenarios

The feature, says Kuo, will end up reaching the rest of the iPhone that Apple launches, but it will be when it does so in 2021. Meanwhile, this advance will be one of those that will differentiate the largest model in the future range.

In the current iPhone 11, Pro optical image stabilization works in both photos and video, but only with the primary camera or the telephoto.

To achieve this stabilization in the ultra wide-angle camera, Apple will integrate the sensor-shift technology. That will also influence when using the iPhone with attachable lenses such as those manufactured by OlloClip.

Kuo explains that this new 6.7-inch smartphone is going to be the first to feature a 7P camera module in its wide-angle lens. It will integrate a 1 / 1.9 sensor, which would increase before the 1 / 3.6 of the iPhone 11 Pro, in addition to the new image stabilization technology.

Theoretically, this addition will make your telephoto improve significantly, even in the long term. Kuo himself indicated that the iPhone of 2022 would integrate a “periscope” objective with which it will be possible to reach a 5x optical zoom or even further.

The New iPhone 2020 Family

Finally, for this 2020, we would not see three iPhones, but four. There will be

  • 5.4 inch iPhone 9 with OLED screen with double camera
  • 6.1 inch iPhone 12 with OLED screen with double camera
  • iPhone 12 Pro 6.1-inch with OLED screen and triple camera with a new ToF sensor.
  • 6.7 inch iPhone 12 Pro Max with OLED screen and triple camera with ToF sensor and new ultra-wide-angle stabilizer.

The iPhone 12 Pro Max would be the most advanced in the family you will possibly see this year. And for the first time, it would differ from the “normal” Pro version beyond the size.

However, this would be only for 2020, since in 2021 the photographic technology of the iPhone 12 Pro Max would cease to be exclusive and would reach the rest of the iPhone, according to Kuo.

All this information is in line with the rumors that we have seen. It is coherence with the leaked code of iOS 14 and information previously published by DigiTimes.
