Deep And Dark Web Security Company Sixgill raises $15M In Funding

Sixgill, an Israel based cyberthreat intelligence company that specializes in monitoring the deep and dark web announced today that it raised $15M in a second funding round. The round was led by Sonae IM and REV Venture Partners with participation by the Crowdfunding platform Our Crowd.

Previous investors like Elron and Terra Venture Partners also participated in the round. Sixgill will use the new capital to strengthen core products and scale global operations. According to CrunchBase, this adds up to the company’s total funding to $21 million to date.

“Sixgill uses advanced automation and artificial intelligence technologies to provide accurate, contextual intelligence to customers. The solution integrates seamlessly into the platforms that security teams use to orchestrate automate and manage security events,” CEO Sharon Wagner said in a statement. “The market has made it clear that Sixgill has built a powerful real-time engine for more than effectively handling of the rapidly expanding threat landscape; this investment will position us for significant growth and expansion in 2020.”

Founded back in 2014, the company plans to use the new funding to expand its efforts in North America, EMEA, and APAC. Apart from expanding its geographical focus, it wants to raise its product capabilities, including its Dynamic CVE Rating and its unique Automated, Actionable Intelligence (A2I) solution.

It is a market leader in deep and dark web cyber threat intelligence. The customer base includes Fortune 500 companies, financial institutions, government and also law enforcement agencies helping them fight against the cyber threats that lurk deep, dark and surface webs. Though searching something in the dark deep web sounds hard, Sixgill brings a solution by using a proprietary algorithm and technology to connect the dots.
