The Nokia 5.2 Will Have Circular Camera, According to The Leaks

Officially, we are in the month with more activity within the field of mobile technology, February. This is because the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona is held at the end of the month. This is an unmissable event for all touch screen fans.

The month begins strongly. Thanks to the presentation of the Samsung Galaxy S20 on February 11. We can expect upcoming weeks with dozens of new devices, also numerous leaks.

Surprise from Nokia

Nokia has prepared a list of new phones for February. They are not yet officially confirmed, as is usually the case. However, numerous leaks have been released around them.

HMD Global would renew line Nokia 8, 5, and also 3, with the possible Nokia 8.2, Nokia 5.2 and Nokia 1.3. Following the rumor race, we now have the first photographs of the Nokia 5.2, a mid-range mobile that aims to offer a multitude of photography modes.

The Nokia 5.2 will be presented on February 23 at the event that has reserved HMD Global on the occasion of the Mobile World Congress 2020. Furthermore, it seems that Nokia 9.2 will also be shown.

Nokia 5.2 Image Leaks

Filtered by Evan Blass, this new device will feature a 6.2-inch screen with visible bezels and a front camera on the top center.

Its configuration of circular four cameras characterizes the smartphone. This aspect is a positive addition since it was previously rumored that it would have a dual-camera sensor only. A fingerprint reader also accompanies it under the camera.

We also know that Nokia 5.2 would have the internal code name of Captain America. We ignore the exact reason, but it would not be far-fetched to think that the nickname is due to the rear set of cameras with a circular module, which is an aesthetic detail very similar to a shield.

Without even knowing the characteristics of these sensors and lenses, it would not be strange if the Nokia 5.2 bet on the wide-angle and the telephoto. This way, you can add a ToF sensor to calculate the depth and apply a better portrait mode.

There is also strong speculation that the fourth camera is dedicated to macro photography. The LED flash is located in the center of the ‘shield’ in addition to the capacitive fingerprint reader just below the ‘shield.’

Nokia 5.2 Specifications We Know So Far

The Nokia 5.2 aims to be a mid-range mobile with multiple shooting modes. So, it should have good value for money. In addition to the rear camera features, the possible Nokia 5.2 would put a front camera with a superior cutout in the form of a water drop.

Furthermore, Evan gives us other key details. This mobile phone will have 6 GB of RAM, 64 GB of storage (it will surely be the base configuration) and it would start commercializing on March 4 for about 180 US dollars.

All the details, as well as the photographs and the name of the phone itself, are not yet confirmed. Therefore, we must keep the usual doubts about them, although we will soon know more details. Nokia will be in the MWC at the end of February.
