The Huawei Nova 7i will be released in Malaysia on February 14. It is a renamed version of the Huawei Nova 6 SE, which was presented in China in December 2019. There hadn’t been a new device from Huawei on the international market lately, as the trade ban continues to deny the company access to Google services.
It should be noted that the Huawei Nova 7i is not a 100% new smartphone, but will inherit much of its features from the Huawei Nova 6 SE. In this way, we do not expect to see anything revolutionary nor any innovative function or technology.
Huawei Nova 7i features
The company itself revealed what some of the features of this smartphone would be. First of all, it is a mid-range device, which incorporates the Kirin 810 processor and an 8 GB RAM. Meanwhile, its storage capacity remains at 128 GB.
As with the base model, the Huawei Nova 7i will have a 6.4-inch IPS LCD screen with Full HD + resolution. The panel is perforated in the upper left corner to house its 16 MP front screen, destined to capture selfies.
In the main photographic section, it has a 48 MP sensor and another ultra-wide 8 MP lens. It also adds a 2 MP macro and a 2 MP depth sensor, to give it some versatility in the most situations. Also, there is a punch hole in the upper left corner for the 16 MP selfie cam.
Finally, the battery is defined by its 4,200 mAh battery with fast charging of 40W. It does not carry the fingerprint reader in the back area but instead, chose to place it on the side. For some, it will take some getting used to. Just like the volume rocker, the fingerprint scanner is located in the right frame of the device. At the bottom, there is a USB-C port only. This is because Huawei does not owe us a 3.5mm jack connection.
The latest version of Android
Another feature of the Huawei Nova 7i that could encourage potential buyers is that it will feature the latest version of Android. Furthermore, its Android 10 will be customized by the EMUI 10 graphical interface, which shows some interesting improvements.
Inexpensive without Google services
The Nova 7i is well equipped for a mid-range device. The four main cameras offer good additional options thanks to their ultra-wide-angle and dedicated macro lens. Though it has the latest Android OS inside, Nova 71 doesn’t occupy Google Service.
Huawei wants to work around this problem by increasingly expanding its own Huawei Mobile Services. In addition, the company only launches some smartphones that are not subject to a trading spell with a little trick. The first cheap Huawei phone without Google was a long time coming, but now the new release will come again.
At the moment, we do not know how much the new Huawei smartphone will cost, but we assume that it will be around 300 US Dollar.
