After the launch date of the next Galaxy smartphone was discovered in an unlisted video, we now know it was true indeed. Samsung today confirmed that the Unpack event will be held on February 11 at San Francisco. The news comes ahead of a night before the CES 2020 event.

There is very little doubt that we will see the Galaxy S11. Some rumors indicate that might be branded as the S20 for some reason. The South Korean manufacturer is also working on its second foldable phone after last year’s Galaxy Fold. We might be seeing more than one devices and Samsung indeed confirms that more than one is coming at the launch.

As for the Galaxy S11, it reveals a center-aligned hole-punch selfie camera, very minimal top and bottom bezel and a large rear camera housing unlike that of the iPhone or Pixel 4. Samsung is also rumored to bring a 120Hz refresh rate with the next flagship, which will put in ahead OnePlus and Google and matching the Asus ROG Phone 2’s level of fluidity. Other rumors include advanced camera features and 8K video recording.

The company’s next foldable smartphone renders revealed a clamshell-style design that folds vertically. Also, it might include a foldable glass technology instead of plastic and will be more affordable than the original Fold. We are also hoping that the problems that we faced with the Galaxy Fold will be solved in its next iteration.

The Samsung Unpacked event will be streamed live on the web as it happens so that you can watch it from anywhere in the world. Samsung has recently unveiled the S10 Lite and Note 10 Lite that are more affordable versions of its 2019 offerings.
