Apple Gaming Mac Reportedly In Works, To Be Launched At WWDC 2020

Be it wearables or smartphones, Apple is at the top level with its products. The US-based tech giant is now reportedly working on a new high-end Mac designed for gaming and is planning it to unveil it at the Worldwide Developers Conference in 2020.

An article from Patently Apple reports a new rumor from Taiwan that the computer giant is looking to launch “an esports-centric PC” next year which will be priced around $5000. The gaming ready Mac will either be a large-screen all in one or a large-screen gaming laptop. The other details of the Mac are currently unknown but according to the rumors the gaming Mac will be revealed at WWDC 2020 to be held in June this year.

Apple’s Mac computers are preferred by many professionals and some editions contain hardware that can run moderately demanding games. But Gaming and Mac’s are not usually seen together in one platform. But as esports continues to rise in popularity, Apple might be thinking to enter this profitable industry.

The new gaming Mac will be coming after the recently launched Mac Pro, which starts at a price of $6,000. One of the most important aspects of it is that it allows buyers to customize it according to their own needs. The desktop gaming Mac may follow the same architecture as the new Mac Pro which will be more appealing to gamers who will want to upgrade their system over time.

But the problem is the limited library of games that supports macOS that may affect its sales. Apple has previously tried its hands at the gaming industry with the launch of Apple Arcade that offers subscribers that offer access to library titles for $5 per month. As for the gaming Mac, WWDC is still months away and Apple is yet to provide official confirmation.
