Recently, Richard Yu, CEO of Huawei Technologies Consumer Business Group, confirmed that the Huawei P40 will be launched in March next year in Paris bearing a never-before-seen design. In addition, the company also confirmed that the series will launch without Google series. But now, ahead of that, 91mobiles and renowned tipster @OnLeaks has brought the exclusive renders of the upcoming flagships from the brand the Huawei P40 and P40 Pro.
These early released renders show the phone off from all sides plus it seems as though the executive wasn’t exaggerating. According to the leaks, the Huawei P40 has a flat display that should measure between 6.1-inches or 6.2-inches. On the other hand, the P40 Pro has a Samsung-style display that curves on all four sides and measures 6.5-inches to 6.7-inches. It has a unique metal fold on all the edges that protects the display from falls.
The renders of the Huawei P40 and Huawei P40 Pro do not show whether they has a hole-punch display or not, but the rectangular camera module at the back is seen. The Huawei P40 camera module houses as many as four sensors, whereas the exact number of camera sensors on the Pro model isn’t known at the moment, though rumours say there will be five cameras.
The phones will not support 3.5mm audio jack, and it should support an in-display fingerprint sensor. Both the phones will have USB Type-C ports, SIM card tray, and speaker grilles at the bottom, while the top edge houses a 2mm hole. The volume rocker and power buttons will be on the right spine of the Huawei P40 series models.
As per the earlier rumors Huawei P40 line up is likely to feature Kirin 990 SoC with an integrated 5G modem. The phones should run on Android 10 with the EMUI skin on top. Also the Huawei P40 and Huawei P40 Pro phones will integrate Huawei Mobile Services (HMS) core on-board, which means they won’t come with Google’s suite of apps and services. So let’s wait for some more time as we are sure that in coming days we would definitely see more rendered teased. Till then stay tuned to be the first one to get the latest info.
