Realme Buds Air True Wireless Earbuds Launch on December 17

Chinese smartphone maker Realme started teasing the launch of new wireless ear buds a few days ago and now the company has confirmed that the ear buds will be called Realme Buds Air. Realme recently confirmed that in a pre-decided launch event of Realme XT 730G smartphone, the brand will alongside unveil its first true wireless ear buds in India on December 17. This means both the devices will be officially launched on December 17 in India.

The former sub-brand of Oppo had teased the device at the launch of Realme X2 pro last month. Now, Realme CEO Madhav Sheth revealed the branding of the Realme Buds Air. He also reiterated the December 17 launch date for the earbuds.  He made this announcement through the company’s official Twitter handle which reads “We are here with music to your ears. Introducing #realmeBudsAir, the new generation #TrueWireless&#RealSeamless experience. Launching at 12:30pm on 17th December. Stay tuned to our social channels and http://realme.com.”

Shockingly this new pair of truly wireless earbuds doesn’t look any different from the classic Apple AirPods. Most importantly, it is teasing a feature where the buds will pair with the device as soon as you open the case. This is a feature found only on premium true wireless earbuds like the Samsung Galaxy Buds and Apple AirPods. If this is true than this device will definitely give a tough competition to many in the market. Also Realme is teasing its true wireless ear buds as ‘True Wireless, Real Seamless’. It is not clear what the company means by real seamless but now we can say that by this it could mean seamless connection with Realme smartphones.

However there are some key differences as well. As AirPods are available in only white colour option, the Buds Air will be made available in three colour options, including black and yellow and white ofcourse. Also, Realme also confirmed 12mm drivers, which is the standard for this size, Bluetooth 5.0, one touch to activate Google Assistant, music and calls controls with touch. Plus, it also supports the ability to automatically pair to a previously paired device.

So let us wait till December 17 to know what exactly the brand is getting for us through the Indian markets. Till then keep following for more leaks, news and updates from the world of smartphones.
