Google on October 15th, introduced the successor of the first-gen Pixel Buds – dubbed as Pixel Buds 2.
Without any surprise, the upgraded earbuds from the search-engine giant are going to compete directly against Apple’s Airpods 2.
Pixel Buds 2 Features
Talking about the wearing comfort, the Pixel Buds 2 is having a design with a stabilizer arc, that makes the earbuds tuck in easily for every type of ear-shape. For in-ear comfort, the earbuds feature interchangeable eartips for suitability accordingly to the user’s preference.
Interestingly, there is a spatial vent on each bud that allows in the right amount of environmental sound to the listener. That said, the plugged-ear feeling is reduced, providing the user with a more natural experience while using the Pixel Buds 2. The earbuds are sweat and water-resistant too.
Another useful and much-needed feature on the list is Adaptive Sound. This allows the earbuds to adjust the sound loudness as per the surroundings. Hence, no more lowering or raising the volume for the sake of changing spaces as you move around.
For calling functionality, Pixel Buds 2 boasts two microphones in each of the earbuds. With the use of dual microphones, the background noises are eliminated in a better way while focusing more on the voice input coming from the user.
Also, a voice accelerometer makes use of vibrations of the jawbone in order to detect the sound. This comes in handy during unstable postures or environments, such as when it is very windy or when you’re jogging around the block. Further, to start or pause your favorite music, all you have to do is tap an earbud. Similarly, a swipe on the earbuds makes you adjust the volume.
Talking about the pairing and connectivity, Google Pixel Buds 2 connect easily with devices having Bluetooth 4.0+ technology and different Android phones with Android 6.0+ running on them.
The Pixel Buds 2 offer 5 hours of playback time on a single charge, which is further enhanced up to 24 hours using the wireless charging case.
Availability Google Pixel Buds
Google Pixel Buds 2 will be sold in the U.S. starting next year. Priced at $179, the earbuds will be available in Almost Black, Clearly White, Oh So Orange, and Quite Mint colors.
