OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren 5G edition

We have seen a lot of smartphones this year from OnePlus which is quite clearly of the opinion that launching more phones is good for them. While that is debatable, what is not debatable is the fact that OnePlus is trying to be the best. Coming back to OnePlus, the company has launched its latest smartphone in the US markets. However, this one might be a handset which will be exclusive to some people only as it is T-Mobile exclusive. You can only find this phone on the T-Mobile stores across the US and it will only work on T-Mobile networks. Also, this is a 5G phone so the T-Mobile 5G network will make full use of this phone.

That being said, you might not want to use a 5G network just yet because of its known issues such as high battery drain, overheating and poor signals when there are walls in between. Regarding the smartphone, this phone is named as the OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren 5G edition as per The Verge’s report. From the name, you can tell that this is the same as OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren edition with the inclusion of 5G modem. The smartphone is quite obviously not launched globally because there are only a handful of countries currently having 5G networks.

Now, all the specifications of this smartphone are the same as the OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren edition including the design. You get 12GB of RAM on this device and it will support 4G and 5G on T-Mobile so you can use either of those networks. We feel that OnePlus has cleverly introduced its OnePlus 7T Pro in the US markets after it discontinued the OnePlus 7 Pro. Launching only the McLaren edition of its flagship phone is a strange move, however, and we will have to wait and see how that goes. The pricing and availability of this phone are not announced yet.
