GoPro is one of the best companies when it comes to action cameras in the industry. Basically, action cameras are used when you are outdoors and in the middle of any action-inducing task and you cannot carry a big and bulky camera. This is where GoPro comes into action as their cameras are small, lightweight, as well as they, offer 4K recording at high framerates too. However, GoPro became much popular with the launch of Hero 7 series last year where the company announced the Hero 7 Black which came with a feature called HyperSmooth. Basically, HyperSmooth is a feature which lets your footage get stabilized digitally.
This feature turned out to be so good that people started buying GoPro Hero 7 Black for that one feature. Now, a new version of GoPro Hero series is released and it is named as GoPro Hero 8 Black. This can be called as an upgrade to the last version of GoPro Hero series. And this action camera also comes with an improved HyperSmooth feature which is now named HyperSmooth 2.0. GoPro’s variable speed recording mode TimeWarp also gets upgraded to 2.0 which is proprietary to the company itself.
GoPro Hero 8 Black also comes with better on-board wind suppression for mic-free recording. Along with the GoPro Hero 8 Black, the company has released a new GoPro MAX which is a $499 360-degree camera. This new camera provides 360 capture. It’s designed to also produce great single lens, traditional wide-angle footage, and has its own version of HyperSmooth stabilization called Max HyperSmooth.
GoPro says that its Pre-orders are live now for the cameras, with shipping starting on October 15 for the GoPro Hero8, and shipments for the Max starting on October 24 in the US. You can get a brand new GoPro Hero 8 Black for $399 while the GoPro MAX costs $100 more. As of now, the global pricing and availability information of these products are not available.
