Huawei is prepared to immediately install Google services if the ban lifts

Huawei Mate 30 Pro

Huawei has just released the latest flagship smartphone in its lineup which is named as the Mate 30 Pro. Now, we know that the smartphone is best-in-class in terms of hardware and it runs on top of Android as well. Also, the design of this smartphone is great as well. But what is not great, however, is that the new Huawei phones will no be able to run Google services. This means that the Huawei Mate 30 Pro cannot run Google services as well.

If you are asking why they can’t run Google services then the reason is that Huawei is placed in the entity list by US government which is almost like a blacklist where companies who are banned get listed. Therefore, companies working in the US cannot operate with companies that are there in the entity list. For this reason, Google cannot work with Huawei and allow it to use Google services. However, Huawei now says that they are committed to giving Google services for its users as soon as possible.

Richard Yu, CEO, Huawei consumer group said that “Since the May ban our sales dropped, but now it’s recovering really really quickly, so consumers love our products. I do believe that we can sell more than 20 million with the Mate 30 series.”

He also adds that Huawei can add the Google services on their existing Mate 30 series in “just one night” if the ban gets lifted by the US government. However, it depends on the trade talks that are taking place between the US and China. Therefore, the fact that Huawei’s MAte 30 series will sell well or not outside of China will depend solely on the basis of US-China trade war ending or not. If it doesn’t, Huawei has a tough job on hand to convince people to switch away from the Google services that they have loved for years.
